Having a live painter at our wedding was wonderful- the painting acts as a centerpiece and creates another source of entertainment for any wedding!

Specifically having Kristin at our wedding was unforgettable. Her work truly speaks for itself.

We were hesitant to get a live painter because it can be costly and is usually considered an added "unnecessary" cost, but you truly get what you pay for and more with Kristin. I shopped around for other live painter vendors, but ultimately went with Kristin because her work was unparalleled.

Working with her was always smooth and easy. We had an initial meeting to discuss specifically what we were looking to get from our painting and she was one of the first vendors to communicate with the venue as well as set up on the day of the wedding.

The icing on the cake is that Kristin's personality is great, caring, and patient. It may not be difficult to find a vendor that will get the job done right, but it is wonderful to be around comforting and welcoming personalities on your special day and Kristin embodies that.

Overall, we are so so happy with how our painting came out and it is even better than anything we could have expected. I cannot recommend Kristin and her services enough!!!

I am a huge fan of photography and having all the perfect photos of your day but nothing tops having that one moment captured of your special day in a painting.

Looking at it on my wall at home almost feels like I am in that moment again. It feels so real! It will be something a Bride will cherish and can pass down for generations.

Kristin was so professional leading up to and on the day of our event, the painting truly was one of the highlights of our wedding.

Her painting allowed us to share our day with those unable to attend and truly provided a vision of how the day went for us.

She does such a great job of making the scene and people look true to reality, its breathtaking.

WEDDING PAINTING FAQ

+ What do you normally paint?

I can paint any part of the day you want me to! First look portraits, the ceremony exit, and the first dance are most common. I will typically work from photos I take of the moment you are looking for, allowing me to set up anywhere that makes sense according to your wedding floor plan.

+ Do you travel outside the Jacksonville, Fl area?

Yes, for an additional fee

+ Do you paint other type of events?

Of course! I'd love to capture your special event! Whethere its an anniversary, christening, birthday, etc live painting will add lots of charm to your special day! Inquire above!

+ Can you make up a scene?

My process is to paint from observation without fabricating a new scene. However, I can adjust my color palette to your taste and make very slight changes.

+ Will you include every detail?

When we have our initial consultation, I'll ask for your top three priorities, and will design the painting around those. It can be anything: you, a couple of people, the venue windows, etc.

+ Can you include faces for everyone?

I only guarantee the bride and groom's faces, but I may be able to include additional faces on a case by case basis.

+ Do you finish the night of?

The day of your wedding, I'll start with a blank (toned) canvas and the goal is to finish during your wedding. I'll then take it back to the studio for minor touch-ups if needed.

+ When will I receive my painting?

Oil paintings take a very long time to dry, so it will take 4-8 weeks for it to dry enough to varnish and ship. I’ll communicate with you before sending to make sure you will be able to receive it!

+ How will it be shipped?

All originals are carefully wrapped in protective paper and plastic. They're then packed into a sturdy box with plenty of padding to ensure it arrives intact to your door.

+ How much is shipping?

Shipping is covered in the package!

I ship via USPS, FedEx, or UPS, and work arrives 2-4 days from ship date.

+ How do I care for my wedding painting?

As a professional artist, I take great care to ensure best practices for producing a permanent painting that can be handed down for generations.

I use museum-quality and lightfast oil paints such as Gamblin and Williamsburg colors, both excellent quality and long lasting.

Complimentary varnishing is included and protects your painting from dirt and damage.

Keep your painting hung away from harsh sunlight. Even with lightfast, high-quality paints. Keeping it away from the sun is a way to ensure your heirloom will last for years!

+ I ordered notecards, when will they arrive?

Expect your notecards to arrive 2-3 weeks following your wedding day.

+ Why do you charge Duval County sales tax when the wedding is not in Duval County?

The wedding is simply the landscape I paint, but the piece originates and ships from Duval County, so I am required by local tax laws to charge a 7% sales tax.

+ Can you frame the painting?

I paint on gallery wrapped canvas, which is not necessary to be framed in order to look stunning on your walls. If you prefer a frame, I have black, white, and natural floater frames available at an additional cost.

I'm also happy to help you pick a frame that fits your space.

+ What do you wear when you paint a wedding live?

I typically stick to dressy attire with an apron and gloves to protect my skin while I paint.

+ What medium do you paint in?

I use museum-quality oils such as Gamblin or Williamsburg paints. I follow best practices to ensure that your investment lasts for years.

+ Can you paint more like [insert artist]?

I can tighten or loosen my own style, and emphasize certain color palettes, but I cannot attempt the style of another artist.
